Lansing Herald Media Group Pool Opportunities
Pool opportunities are meant to be choice based, flexible opportunities that meet the needs of our publication or production teams. These are intended for Mid-Michigan high school students, and each student will be in an environment where they are adult lead. Pool opportunities are seasonal and may change based on need. You are eligible to miss three assignments over the course of a season. These are assignments that you agreed to work but were not able to due to unforeseen circumstances, but have provided advance notice of your absence. Upon the third missed assignment your eligibility is suspended until the next season. You remain eligible for future seasons.

You are allowed to claim up to two assignments per two week period. Please do not sign up for more than two opportunities per working period. This is for balance and protects everyone from over scheduling. You do not have to claim an assignment within a posted period, and doing so will not impact eligibility.
Assignments are claimed on a first come, first serve basis.

You are only allowed one no call no show per season. The second no call no show in the same season results in instant and permanent termination.
